Cowboy
La Vega Farm

After our brief visit to Cienfuegos we spent a leisurely afternoon having lunch at a farm/ranch called la Vega outside of Trinidad. Not all of us particularly wanted to spend four hours there with nothing to do but watch two tame parrots make a mess out of some fruit left on the table for them, but them’s the breaks when you’re stuck on a bus tour. A few people opted to ride horses down to the beach led by this local cowboy, but one look at those sad, skinny animals convinced me I had better stick with the parrot show.
